Best at Home Face Masks

Ayurveda recommends several herbs that can be used to make natural face packs. Here’s a guide on how to create the best at home face masks using natural ingredients for dry, oily, and acne-prone skin.

DRY FACE

Method of preparation

  • Mix the herbalised Bentonite clay, and add honey and Aloe Vera gel well.
  • To this, add the rose water and mix well. Add water in small volumes, blending the contents well, to form a soft semi-solid paste.
  • Then add the perfuming oil and blend it well.

Usage

  • Use plain water to wash your face. Dry it with a soft towel.
  • Uniformly apply a little oil over your face. Don’t massage it.
  • Evenly spread a small quantity of the paste over your face. Carefully avoid contact with your eyes, lips, and the inner parts of your nostrils.
  • Allow it to dry (approx. 5-15 minutes).
  • On drying it will act on your skin for 30 minutes. (The face mask has been in contact with your skin for 45 minutes in all.)
  • Gently peel off the mask rubbing it, with your fingers. If it is stuck to your face, apply a little oil to your fingers to make the peeling process more comfortable. Know more homemade skin care tips at our blog.
